The Assumption College African Dance Club was started in 2016 by Amara Ugwumba. It was

created to bring more diversity to the college campus and to educate people on the different

cultures in Africa through dance. Popular dances are shoki, etighi and azonto.

Dance Team     

The Assumption University Dance Team is a group of individuals who strive to become a greater part of the campus community. We help to promote the cheerful atmosphere of the crowds and campus residents at planned events and sports games. Dance Team nurtures a positive environment that exudes a sense of family, strength, and acceptance to anyone who is looking to further their dance training.

Grey Tones is an auditioned all-girls a capella group at Assumption. Our mission is to learn and perform a capella music on campus and at local establishments. If you love singing, a capella music, and making friends, then this club is for you!

HoundSound is Assumption's oldest competitive, co-ed a cappella group. We're a group of students with varying musical backgrounds who come together to create and perform our own original arrangements of popular songs. We perform and compete in and around Worcester throughout the year and are the 2017 Wec'appella champions.

Latin Dance Club is about learning new dance styles such as merengue, salsa, and bachata in a fun, welcoming environment! Members can enjoy a break from their daily work, stay active, be involved on campus, and have the opportunity to connect with others outside of their class.
