Assumption University HumanArts series presents, Mass Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian Music and Martial Arts Demonstration, on Thursday, November 10, 2022, 7:00 PM, TFAC, Curtis Hall.   Now practiced globally and acknowledged as a unique Afro-Brazilian art form, Mass Capoeira will present an exciting display of athletic choreography, music, historical symbolism, and song known as capoeira. Beginning in Bahia, the capoeira tradition dates back to the era of slavery in Brazil and combines the movement and music of African ancestors in a spirit of national pride and resistance.
